This is a wonderful salad. I peeled the whole stalks of broccoli and sliced the stalks very thinly. I didn't have bacon, so I baked up some slices of proscuitto
(while I was making Emeril's rice pudding recipe, and added sweeted dried cranberries insead of raisins.
I used a wonderfully aged Irish cheese and added some roasted pumpkin seeds, but I forgot the tomatoes. I also lightened up on the sugar and used a bit less mayonaisse, as I find Paula's recipes to be a bit like her--very sweet and a bit rich.

My 9 yr. old daughter and I were watching Paula's show together when she said that looks good Mom. So she and I went to the store to get the items we needed. This was a great hit!!! My husband who doesn't like broccoli was the first for seconds. This is a great recipe for kids to make as well. This will be a staple in our house!

my family loves this. i made a few modifications, since i found it to be too salty, i omit the bacon and only use half the cheese called for. add the raisins, it makes all the difference.

Did not add tomato or raisins. Delicious! My son actually ate this and liked it.

This will be a new side/salad fave. It's so easy and so good. (Gets you a serving of healthy broccoli, too! I omitted the raisins (personal preference. Also used 1 packet of Splenda instead of the sugar, and lowered the mayo to 3/4 c. Think I'll add some chopped pecans next time, like you all suggest - it would really add. Try this recipe - you will love it, too.

I just made this recipe for the first time, and all I can say is WOW! My guests wolfed it down. I omitted the tomatoes because I did not have any on hand, but it was still amazing.

the ingredients are fresh, the salad is savory and a little sweet, crunchy, and the bacon adds a great flavor to an otherwise overcookd vegetable. I love my broccoli raw and this is a great way to have it!

    Thanks Paula...
