That's what a friend of mine said upon trying this recipe. I saw the show that day, went out that evening, bought the ingredients & whipped it up! Such a tasty, wonderful recipe, and so easy to make!

I have made a similar version of this salad for years and it has always been one of my favorites. One thing I have learned, especially if serving for a party, you can do the salad in advance and wait to add the bacon and cheese at the last minute. That way everything stays fresh and convenient to make ahead of time.

My family absolutely loves this-even my 5 year old who doesn't like vegetables. A couple of changes I made were to add dried cranberries in addition to the raisin and to use lemon juice instead of vinegar. Another spot on dish, Paula

Making this was so easy. I left out the cheese and put in chopped up walnuts and it was sooo good!!!. My son also liked it and my husband even ate it. When I buy it in the store he won't touch it. This is a keeper.

I have made a recipe very similar to this many times. However, the tomatoes and cheese really add to the flavor. I added just about a tablespoon of toasted slivered almonds to my serving and it was very good.

I never get tired of making or eating this salad. I've even made it using turkey bacon, low fat mayo, etc. and it's just as good. It also keeps well in the refrigerator for several days. My family very highly recommends it.
