I was browsing for recipes and came across this easy to make "munchies", I was out of baking powder, I used a pinch of salt and added some cinnamon. Turned out great!! I would suggest to let it cool completely, and maybe refrigerate, because they do come out gooey. But really good. later on. Thanks again for making this simple, easy recipe! You're the Bomb~

Delicious chewies, really there is no other word to describe them. Definitely need to be baked for the full 20 minutes as they will be overly gooey and sticky if under-baked. Very addictive, I will be making these again.

This is my all time favorite cookie, they are so delicious. The ingredients are really simple, I almost always have everything on hand and can make them anytime I have a sweet tooth!

I just made these about an hour ago and they are GREAT. : They are either brownies that think they are cookies or cookies that think they are brownies! I loove the chewiness and the brown sugar taste is exactly how i wanted them, plus the recipe was super-easy and took no time to make. Good stuff. :

These were easy to make and are pretty good, I would not say great though. They are very sweet and remind me of a blondie. I would definitely serve these with vanilla ice cream, it cuts some of the brown sugar taste.

These are delisious. I have made these several times before. To Carissa, I think you might be adding the egg too soon while the butter and brown sugar are too hot. Try tempering the egg. Allow the butter/sugar mix to cool slightly, then add just a little at a time to the egg, beating it as you add it in. This will allow the egg to warm up before it cooks and should allow you to incorporate it back into the rest of the butter/sugar mixture and continue with the recipe as it is written. Hope that helps.

These chewies were so good! I did add a dash of salt to prevent the blandness that some of the reviews referred to. They were good fresh out of the oven and cooled. Plus, it was so easy to make.
