I've been making these for months now. EVERYBODY loves them. Make sure not to over bake. These are supposed to be chewy! It doubles well as we like them on the thicker side. They are always gone by the next day. Thanks for something simple and delicious!

I have to agree this was very easy to make. When it came time to eat I was very disappointed. No flavor and did not taste the brown sugar. Will not make again!

This dessert was so quick and easy to make. I made it in 5 minutes! These were really good. I did not give a 5 star rating because I think a five star recipe should be outstanding! Don't get me wrong, I liked these a lot. I would really give them 4 1/2 stars!

I don't even have pecans yet. I was just anxious to make them and have everything else on hand. Since tomorrow's Saturday, I'll get pecans at the store and make another batch. I made these to the letter, and I don't work for the site or anything, and have to say they are awesome. Not too sweet at all. I did add 1/4 teaspoon of salt however. They have a shiny crackly top, the edges are a little harder and crispier, and they really are chewy, in a melt-in-your-mouth way. Someone else commented that when you add the sugar to the butter that it doesn't get smooth. Mine didn't either until I added the egg and then it was smooth. You have to hurry and get it in the pan though because as it cools it thickens very quickly. Definitely making these again!!

Everyone at church that tried this recipe loved it. One of my friends husband is having a 70th birthday this month and she wants me to make it for them. I fixed it for a friend who had surgery, and the whole family loved it, too. It is so easy to fix and you have all the ingredients at home. I went to get the ingredients and said that I had everything at home. It was a hit.

It's definitely chewy! Easy to make, and the ingredients are usually in the house. Like the reviewer below me said, not for those with a True Sweet Tooth; I would choose a chocolate brownie over this any day. I didn't go for seconds, like everyone else did. Still a good recipe... give it a try. :

These chewies had a nice texture and were easy to make. But they did not
have much flavor to me. I did not taste the brown sugar much at all. I have an incurable sweet tooth, and this did NOT cut it for me. If you want something truly sweet, make a regular chocolate brownie instead of this.

These bars are awesome! I doubled he recipe, but cut the sugar to by 1/2 a cup total and they are plenty sweet, probably could cut it a little more. I didn't have many pecans left, so I stirred in some mini choc chips, but warning, the batter was a little warm, so they started to melt, so you either have to cool the batter or sprinkle on top. They are super chewy and I would definately make again.

I made these for my family and they were gone in 24 hours! I used chopped almonds instead of pecans and they were delicious! These are a new family favorite. Thanks Paula:-
