When you first get this out of oven, it seems undercooked. Perfect after a few hours or the next day! I will never make box brownines again.

Great brownies! I did have to cook them much longer than the recipe called for (an extra 20 minutes, but it was worth it!

I saw this recipe on television and thought my family would love it. I tried and failed several times, thinking I was doing something wrong. I am so glad I decided to read the reviews. This recipe didn't work for me.

I was disappointed in the recipe. I was looking forward to an easy, simple, homemade recipe. Instead, I cooked and cooked and cooked the brownie until I got tired and still it was gooey in the middle. I bet I cooked it for an extra 30 or 40 min, 10 mininutes at a time checking it as I went. I gave up. Like the previous posts say, the outside was done but that was it. I should have read the reviews before I made this recipe.

We extended the 20 - 25 minute cooking time to 30 minutes and that seemed to work better as far as doneness goes; however, the brownie cake was very, very sweet and you could taste the grittiness of the sugar in each bite. If you make this recipe, it may help to use super fine sugar instead of regular granulated sugar. But it is a very, very rich dessert...almost too rich!

I used self-rising, but the cooking time of 25 minutes left me with edges done, but goo in the middle -- not just chewy -- batter. Need an accurate cooking time, but the taste is fabulous...
