Made this last week for hubby n I. It was good, just enuff kick frm red pepper. We love spicy food & wasn't sure if the recipe called for enuff but glad I kept to it cuz it was fine the way it was. W/the 1st bite we both noticed the "vodka" flavor, which is ok, luckily it wasn't too overpowering, don't kno if it was cuz I didn't reduce it enuff or the brand I used. I do agree w/some of the other reviewers it was a bit on the bland side as far as seasoning goes. This is one of those recipes, I think, that you have to play w/to make it your own & to your liking.

I thought it was very good. The sauce was a little thin though, and it didn't have as much flavor as I would have hoped. But it was still very good, I will make this again, but this time I might add a few more things haha

Have made this twice now. The first time I followed the recipe to the letter. It was good (both husband and I enjoyed it but something was a touch "off." Made it again tonight and did a few things differently. Sauteed about a cup of diced onion with the garlic, substituted half & half for the heavy cream and used only shrimp (husband did not care for the scallops. It was a touch lighter and the sauteed onions paired with the tomatoes added a very nice sweetness to the red pepper flakes. For extra "flavor" I added fresh ground pepper and just a few drops of hot sauce. We served it over pasta with steamed broccoli. Loved it. Thank you Paula & Bubba.

This was a wonderful recipe. Instead of pasta we used rice. Put some basil and oregeno in, kicked up the red pepper flakes to two teaspoons and enjoyed every drop of it. Wil use this again and again. GREEEEEEEEEEAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I made this tonight and had rave reviews. I made the dish pretty much the same except I used jarred marinara sauce instead of crushed tomatoes and I only used a pinch of red pepper flakes. I substituted chicken for seafood and served this with peas and bread sticks. My husband is a finnicky eater, but he really liked this and told me to keep the recipe! Thanks Paula :

Fixed this for a romantic New Year's Eve dinner for my husband, with the Caesars Salad. Yummy! I went light on the heat, and used one pound of shrimp because the scallops in Las Vegas didn't look very good. My first review, five stars!!!

Unfortunately the recipe without my doctoring it was pretty bland and thin. First, while I was making the sauce added 1.5 tbs minced garlic, and added some of the red pepper to the mixture early on along with season salt, cajun seasoning and regular salt and pepper. After I assembled all of the sauce ingredients, I added 1/4c fresh chopped parsley. Then I couldn't get the sauce to thicken and added 2 tbs flour, which helped. After I had added the seafood i added around 3/4 of the cooked pasta. I ended up adding 2 heaping tbs of butter, 1-2tsp lemon juice, more red pepper and cajun and some cayenne pepper. End result was great
