Very good overall. I liked the crust a lot. Everyone that had it said it was good but I think it was a bit TOO tart, makes you pucker.

I made this pie for my family who all love "real key lime pie", and it was the biggest hit! I was in a pinch and used a store bought crust and I used Joe and Nellie's (thanks to advice from other reviews! key lime juice and it was still wonderful! No fake lime taste, it was so sweet and creamy. Everyone was so impressed. The only thing I'd do differently is that I would refregerate the pie as much as possible before and after the merangue - it got a little runny by the time it was served. Oh yes, double the merangue and use 4 eggs, you will be glad you did!

If you like key lime the way it should be.. nice a tart this is the pie. i get so many compliements when i make this pie. i love it tart with the key lime juice but for my hubby and the sweet tooth guest i have one made with Rosies lime juice to reduce a bit of the tartness. either way it is a winner. my neighbors frequent the Keys often and said this is better than any pie they have ever had. Way to go Paula!

I've made this recipe twice now because I wanted to see if using Joe & Nellies key lime juice would work as well as squeezing key limes... IT DOES!

So what I now is to use Joe & Nellie's (available everywhere in the recipe, but I buy a handful (4 or 5 key limes and use them to decorate the pie with. (You can also use a little of the zest

I squeezed 1/4 cup of the fresh key limes, then poured 1/4 cup Joe & Nellies into measure cups.. and using plastic spoons I put my family through a blind taste test. They couldn't tell the difference, LOL!

I swear, one of these days I'm going to make it to both Bubba's place as well as Paula's restaurant!! You ROCK!

I followed this recipe to a 't' with the exception of adding the almonds at the end and it was PERFECT!!!! Made it for Mother's Day and everyone loved it! I was so excited because squeezing the juice out of those key limes was quite time consuming. Most importantly it was the first time I ever made it. I will definitely make this again; however, will probably buy a juicer. :

I try almost every Key Lime Pie recipe that appeals to me and this is the VERY BEST EVER. I've made it many times now. Our friends rave about it ! It is so decadent. The crust is fabulous--I do add a hint more of butter than it calls for-seems to keep the crust from crumbling. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.

This was my first and last attempt at Key Lime Pie. Too expensive (4 pounds of key limes, too labor intensive (squuezing said limes, crust too crumbly (followed directions exactly. Definitely not worth the effort.

Probably the only desert my husband and I ever threw out. Give me good old Lemon Meringue Pie any time!!!

I did use 4 egg whites for the meringue as I thought 2 would be skimpy.
