I love, love, this recipe! This will be the only recipe that I will use in the future! It is crispy, and has a kick to it. You will love this!

This was so good and crisp. I just got on here to review the recipe because I'm about to make it again.

    to desert gal:
the top 4 ingredients are what you whisk together and chill. They are quite tasty,

This sounds wonderful! I love your recipes, but am confused with this one. Which is the tempura portion of the recipe I'm suppose to chill? Is it the ingredients above or below the "tempura recipe follows"? Isn't it a coating and so wet? I've never made anything with tempura and so don't know what goes in it. Help; I'd like to make this recipe! thanks anyone for helping.

Oh, man! This was great - had it for our Super Bowl party and it was gone almost in an instant! Wouldn't change a thing. Craving it ever since...

I used the batter for prawns - added more cayenne pepper to the seasoning
and used 1/4 c flour for the seasoning mix. Light and crispy - exceptional
even my 21 yr old son who does not like shrimp ate most of the batch.
I will definitely use this when okra comes into season.

This is absolutely my favorite okra recipe to date! I ate the whole batch
(but halved it, so I keep telling myself it's OK!
If you aren't clever enough to realize there is a 'typo' in the recipe, it could be confusing.

    Off to the gym......

Could be confusing to some when it is said under Ingredients:

"Tempura batter recipe follows" - only then NOT to have the tempura batter recipe follow. This could be improved by actually separating out the tempura batter ingredients. As was done with the Scallion Dipping Sauce.

    Can't wait to try it!

Glad to have another receipe for okra - Always good - easy to say when you are from the South - just up the road from Albany GA. My husband is from Idaho and is not that fond of okra or grits, etc but he does like spicy so this was great.

I made these last night and wow! they were so good, I could not stop eating them. I made the sauce and it was yummy too. The okra was great with or without it.
This is the best okra I have ever had. Thanks Big Daddy and Paula. This is a keeper!!
