I made these following the batter instructions on the box. I noticed the cones became somewhat stale?? after baking. Also, i felt like the cake batter was not cooking evenly in the center. Any ideas on how to prevent this?? I also read on-line an idea of cutting holes in one of those aluminum pans, flipping it up side down, inserting the cones in the holes to keep them from tipping over and then placing the pan on a cookie sheet for baking. This really worked. Furthermore, these CAN get messy. Another tip i found on this same website is to pour the batter in a large ziploc bag, then cutting one of the bottom corners and use this to pour the batter in each cone.

I didn't like the texture of the cones after baking, and the cupcake batter did not tunr out quite to my liking, so I baked cupcakes separately then fitted them into the cone openings with no problem and iced them.
