Wow! I had my doubts about these donuts, but the were great! So easy. The time it saved makeing the dough you can actually spend more time decorating them. Can't stop eating them. Great idea!
    Thanks Paula!

I really like Paula, she's so adorable, but these "donuts" were not to my liking. They were too salty, although they were VERY easy to make, great idea though. In all fairness, two of my family members did love them, it was just me who did not.

I love this recipe. I have used it twice: once when my boyfriend was mad at me and the next when my boyfriend had a headache and needed sugar. It worked both times! The next time I use it I am going to make a donut bar for my next monthly book club meeting. Thanks Paula!

Holy Cow! I'd seen Paula make these on her show and thought, "Well that's funny I bet it just tasts like a fried biscuit." Oh my friends, was I missing out! In planning a little Chanukah gathering I thought it would be fun to make donuts and was reminded of this recipe. I tried it out last night to make sure it wasn't going to be a flop. My whole house was in extacy. As a side note, I forgot to print out the recipe and remembered the oil temperature incorrectly. There was a big difference between 400 degrees and 350. So, I reccomend using a candy thermometer to make sure your oil is at the right temp. Oh and ladies, this is PMS heaven!

wow i was amazed how good these were. when i first saw it on t.v. i was thinking, "how wierd...biscuit taste w/ sugar?" but i got curious...made it and it was awesome. my family and i loved it. i didn't try the glazes or icings recommended..only tried sugar and cinnamon...but will try that next time. as for the meanies who have nothing to say...KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT if you have nothing to say. i enjoy watching paula...love her personality. keep up the good work paula and don't listen to the haters out there. they're just jealous they don't have a cooking show.

At first I thought this would be terrible, and oily. I though there was NO WAY they could be as good as they looked but BOY was I wrong!!!!! I even had my 14 year old son make these and everytime he did they turned out great! He put some orange extract in some store bought frosting along with a little milk and dipped them in that and they were WONDERFUL!!!! You rock Paula!

i made these last night, only took like 15-20 minutes to make them from start to finish and they taste great! We prefered the vanilla icing.i'm eating them now the next day and they taste fine, try warming them up in the microwave for 15 seconds, they taste better.

These were wonderful, and so easy. I preferred the cinnamon/sugar coating over the frostings.

I remember making these donuts as a young teen, and I made them recently for my son and my Big Sweetie. The donuts were gone before any could cool, which is the way these babies should be gobbled down! Fun Fun Fun!

Okay. Now for my WARNING!!! I see another reviewer was thinking about making jelly donuts by putting jelly inside of the dough and frying it.
DON'T DO IT, MON!! I did this when I was a teen, and it was a big mistake. The dough expanded, and even though I had it sealed very well, the expnason f the dough caused the jelly to leak out and when it hit the hot oil, it was a terrible thing. I did this about thirty-five years ago, and I still have a big scar on my forearm from the horrible jelly donut explosion.

So, just keep it simple and safe, and enjoy this happy little treat!
