My mom and I made this recipe with excellent results. We had never made doughnuts before, and this recipe will have us making them again! Super easy, fast, and delicious! Thanks, Paula Angie and Kelsea Ballengee

I just have to say that I tune in JUST TO WATCH Paula. She has an addictive personality and I love her down-to-earth quality and her love of family. Because of health issues, most of her recipes that I try, I adapt. I do make some "full strength" for company and these donuts sound like a fun activity to do with the grandkids. Yes, many of Paula's recipes are tried and true recipes that she used as a housewife and mother, but she never would have a show on Foodnetwork if she didn't have such a sparkle and charm to go with her cooking talents! What an inspiration she is because of all the obstacles she overcame in life and all the hard work she put into making her career a success.

I have to stop watching this woman...her non-stop Cackle is too annoying, and the recipes aren't new at all.
They're recycled from Church Cookbooks throughout the States, not just the South.
BUT THAT CACKLE...Yikes.
Give it a rest.

I decided to make these donuts the night of the show and my husband and children loved them. I had to make them stop eating as it is impossible to eat only one. My husband is a youth pastor and my children are teenagers so they begged me to cook them for our youth group the day after. SO, of course I did and they were a hit again. I took my fryer and ingredients to the church and they were gone as soon as they were lifted from the oil and dipped in icing. Many adults and teenagers told me that they were the best that they had ever eaten. Of course, just laughed inside and thought this is soooooo funny. Pillsbury did all the work and I'm gettin all the credit!!!

I made this on a whim one afternoon because I had a can of biscuits I needed to get rid of. They were so good we ended up eating them all so I went to the store that night and bought 3 more cans of biscuits to make more!!!! Way to go Paula! YUMMY

I remember making these when I was growing up. I forgot all about it until I saw Paula make them on her show. I remembered how easy they were but I forgot how delicious they were! Brought back yummy memories!
