My husband did not believe my daughter and I when we wanted to make donuts with the biscuits we had in our frig. Let's us just say he apologized later after he ate his third one.

I have four kids ages 2, 6, 9, 11 and I don't have to much time to make donut, led me tell you that these is the most easy recipe for those mothers that work and don't have to much time to spend at the kitchen. My kids ask me when I'm going to make donuts again. By the way eat them warm delicious.

I don't even know how to begin to explain how these taste. I literally just got done making these and they are almost all gone. i made the small bisquits which have 10. i then got 10 donut holes that i don't even think ever got on the plate. next time i will make the jumbo donuts. i used glaze, powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar and crushed nut topping. My husband and I were eating them as we were glazing them. Tomorrow I am making a batch to bring to my father-in-law for fathers day. thanks again paula. you have never let me down. everything i make of yours is absolutely delicious. I'm looking forward to the day that we can take a little trip to georgia and eat at your restaurant.

I have seen this show of Mrs Paula Deen/Groover frying canned biscuits and turning them into donuts quiet a few times in my years of watching TFN, not once did she ever act like she invented the wheel. This reply will probably never go through, but you sound envious. She went through hard times to get where she is at, and no doubt she surely knows about cooking.....see where she lives, see the rings on her hands, see her on T.V. Hmmmm, shes doing GREAT and way too wealthy to care about your rude remarks. Play nice please.
BTW For a quicky, these donuts are wonderful. Thanks Paula

My son and I made these for the 1st time on March 15, 2009.
Doughnuts were GREAT! I never imagined something so cheap and easy would be so satisfying, pretty and delicious.
GREEN ICING... On March 17th, I made these for a small St. Patrick's Day Party at my house and topped them with green icing. (Just added food coloring They were a hit!
Also, doughnut holes were the perfect finger food as everyone stood around the fire to chat!
Paula Deen... you rock! Thanks so much!

These simple donuts were as delicious to eat as they were to make. My 7, 5 and 3 year old had a great time making the biscuts into donuts, decorating and eating them. I wasnt sure how hot 350 degrees was, and after a few charred attempts, determined it to be a low-to moderate heat on my cooktop.
A fun cooking project for all ages!

You made my 5 year old's morning! He has always wanted to try doughnuts, but because of his milk and egg food allergies, he has been unable to have them ... until now! Here's what we did- We used a brand of biscuit dough that did not contain milk or eggs in the ingredients (Kroger store brand. We substituted vanilla rice milk (or use vanilla soy milk for the milk in the glaze recipe --no need to add the vanilla this way. We also used a canola blend oil instead of the peanut oil. Since he's not a fan of chocolate, we added cherry preserves to the glaze instead of cocoa powder -yum! Both my children gobbled them up, and the doughnut holes were just as well liked! It is so nice that the recipe is so simple to make, since usually the only way to avoid milk or egg in recipes is to make everything from scratch, which can be very time consuming. This recipe is very quick and the kids actually helped with the cooking! Thank you!!
