Given all the great reviews I had very high hopes for this dish as a new fish recipe in my rotation. Unfortunately it way under delivered. The only flavor imparted on the dish was fat from the butter and cheese which overwhelmed the delicate nature of the fish. In addition there was way too much onion that didn't cook well in the given amount of time and was mainly raw. I will not be trying this dish again.

I used trout and it came out great. I sauteed red, green & yellow bellpeppers along with onions....alll largely sliced then poured in bottom of pan. Pre seasoned my fish with crab boil, salt, pepper, worchteshire sauce and fresh lemon juice. Layed it on top then spread little pats of butter on each fish piece. Baked about 20 mins then broiled with parm (from can for about 5 mins. Made some seasoned rice for a side and scooped the veggies and juice on top of rice. OMG it was DELICIOUS! Even my 4 yr old gave me the thumbs up!!! Thanks for the idea Paula....I get tired of eating fried fish, this was nice, healthy and delicious!

I made a half recipe, but only used a 1/4 of the butter, and just shook a bit (2T? of grated parm over the top at the end. I also doubled up on the pepper (using red and yellow gave the dish beautiful color. I'll make this again for sure.

THis has to be one of the best fish recipies I have come by. I have tried different filets other than snapper.. orange roughty was tasty. I also used boneless pork chops as a recipie switch! Took the lazy way and used frozen fire roasted pepper and onions.. so simple..Use less cheese and butter and it is very weight watccher friendly... Love ya Paula

I used a variety of pepper colors and added garlic and green onions to the pepper mixture, and I added some bread crumbs to the parmesan...and it turned out GREAT! I will definitely be using this recipe again.

Great recipe! The fish was very moist and flavorful....i added sliced roma tomatoes and garlic. I also used 1/4 of the butter, and used about half of parmesean and added a little bit of panko which made it crispy and delicious!

Just finished dinner and I can say I am totally satisfied. I used fresh Red Snapper my husband caught deep sea fishing over the weekend off the east coast of Florida and two small sea bass fillets. I seasoned both sides of fish with 1/2 tsp each kosher salt, pepper, Old Bay, and garlic powder. I cooked bite size chunks of red bell pepper and onion along with two smash garlic cloves on the stove until crisp tender, placed veggies in 9 x 13 dish, topped with fish, 1 tsp of worstershire and maybe a total of 2 TBL dots of butter on the fish then cooked for 20 minutes @ 350. I sprinkled fish with a TBL of parm cheese and broiled for a couple of minutes. Served with garlic butter rice and fresh green beans. Didn't make a lot of changes, but I would never use 1 cup of parm cheese and 1/2 cup of butter, I just don't see the need for it.

Tried this recipe for the first time and it was so easy, so fast, and so good! Just what I like. I did have to bake the fish for longer than called for. About 20 minutes total. Can't wait to use this again!
