These were easy enough to throw together and look wonderful. I thought they were pretty good. However, there was something about the cheesecake layer that just didn't do it for me...wasn't what I was expecting. I think maybe next time I make these I'll use brown sugar in the cheesecake layer instead of white to step up the flavor a little. Other than that, I thought this was a great bar recipe and one I'll make again.

I thought this was fabulous! The only issue I had cooking it was in the recipe it calls for you to line the pan with foil but Paula doesn't do that in the video. The crust did get cooked as much as I would have liked. I would recommend just buttering the pan like she did. Other than that...everyone LOVED it at the office!

Awesome, awesome, awesome and some more awesome. And fairly easy to make - the only pain in the butt was dicing those apples (then again, I'm not very good with knives, soooooo.... I've made these twice now, and they're always a huge hit - just make sure to cut them into fairly small pieces, as they are VERY rich.

Delicious! But OH SO SWEET. The caramel sauce was too yummy to leave out but would have cut down on the intense sweetness. Definitely use the granny smith apples because they lend a sour/tartness that you have to have with all the sugar in this dish! A sweeter apple would be too much.

WOW. These bars were absolutely delicious, and like everyone else said, so easy to make. I excluded the caramel sauce, primarily because I did not have time to make any, but they were fantastic on their own! Photos on my blog....sweetcarolinescooking[dot]com. This recipe was SO easy and fun to make! The flavor is great, but I did opt out of the caramel sauce. Thought it was a little too much.

These are excellent! I made them without the caramel sauce and they were still great.
I also added a little cinnamon to the crust, gave a nice flavor.

This recipe is INCREDIBLE!! I brought it to a house-warming party and everyone loved it. It tastes like a mix between apple pie and cheeesecake and is delicious!
