Made this recipe a few times and always a hit with our company! The foil does make life easier to remove the whole bar. I allow my guest to pour warm caramel sauce on since I agree it is sweet enough but to some the more the better! I will be making this for Thanksgiving this year

Amazing! I made these without the caramel sauce and I thought they were sweet enough - I think the caramel might have been overkill. But I loved them. I followed the video though and only buttered the baking pan and they were hard to get out in one piece. Definitely use the aluminum foil and save yourself the trouble.

I loved it. I followed the recipe exactly and had to cook it for 40 minutes. By lining the pan with foil, I was able to lift it out of the pan which made it easier to cut into bars.

I divided this recipe into two glass pans, 1/3 into one 6x8, and 2/3rs into an 8x8 and it worked nicely. Doing it this way allows me to give this magnificent creation to a neighbor, too. I had to cook the crust at 365 and the cake at 375 to get the right result - and even so, it turned out more 'cheese-cakey' than barlike. Which suits us just fine. Yummm!

I made this last night. I kept the the crust the same and put it in a 10 X 15 pan. I did double the cream cheese mixture, but not the streusel. It was amazing!!! This will be served as dessert for Thanksgiving this year! I did have to cook mine almost an hour which I am assuming because I doubled the cream cheese. I also used 1/3 low fat cream cheese and it is perfect.

Unbelievable! I won first place in a baking contest last night at my daughter's school with this recipe. I followed it to the exact measurement and ingredient; made no substitutions. I cannot believe what an easy and impressive product this produced! Thanks, Paula!!

Outstanding recipe! Best of both worlds -- cheesecake & apples -- not to mention caramel topping it all. Get rave reviews whenever I make this.

I just brought these in for a co-workers birthday. These bars were a hit! I've had to print the recipe off for 2 people so far and I've been asked to make this at someone's wedding! Great recipe! Can't believe the praises. Thanks, Paula Dean!!!

I do recommend that you double the cheesecake part - I did, it balanced the crust nicely. I also used parchment paper instead of aluminum foil.

This is going in my family cookbook for sure. I will be making this for years to come....
