This was pretty good - nice and creamy - until I got to the part where you add the vanilla. EGADS!!! 1 and 1/2 TABLESPOONS has got to be a misprint. I only added 1 tablespoon and even that is way too much. I am continuing to cook this, hoping some of it will dissipate; if not I will have to throw the whole thing out. I think 1 tsp would be about right.

This is delightful! Smooth, sweet, creamy...who could ask for more? My husband loves rice pudding and I have made it with varying degrees of success throughout our 40 year marriage. This is by far the best I have made. Try it. You'll be glad you did!!

Very delicate and delicious! I have to agreed that it gets a little too dry, but it doesn't take away how delicious this is. I will put a little more of milk next time. This definitely a most do again recipe. Great recipe Paula!

I have made this rice pudding several times. Minus the sauce. It comes out delicious every time. Definitely a crowd pleaser. I quadruple the recipe.

I used the double boiler (good idea it didn't burn the bottom like it does in a regular pot. I used a cinnamon stick while the rice was cooking, and sprinkled cinnamon on top before serving it. Everyone loved it, (didn't use the sauce. The next day was better, just warm it up in the microwave.

This rice pudding is sooo creamy and tasty...just like my mom used to make. A little dash of cinnamon on top and served warm or cold...and you can have a little bit of heaven.

We just made this recipe for our Easter dessert. I have to say it was easy to follow, looked just like the photo and tasted like sweet comfort! Thanks Paula for another great tradition.

This was so easy and it helped me to use my last can of sweetened condensed milk. I love rice pudding and am a bit of a prude to it. I loved this. I made the rice in a regular pot and just added everything else once the rice was cooked. I will make this many times more.
