    I made this recipe and it was terrific! I did not have to go buy any ingredients because it uses items most people already have. I don't care for nutmeg, so I substituted cinnamon. It tasted great. Being from the South, I love Paula Deen. Thanks so much!

    I think it would have been better omitting the condensed milk and adding cream and sugar. It came out too thick and sweet for our taste.

    Hope I'm remembering my German. My husband made this and it is absolutely wonderful It is definitely a keeper for us. He used the golden raisins and they were just as good as the dark ones. Keep 'em coming Paula.

    The sauce for the rice pudding was excellent. Everybody loved it. I need to stick to my receipt for rice pudding. Paula's rice pudding appeared to be dry. It was not moist enough. So I used by own receipe for the rice pudding. But the sauce was the topic of the meal.
