This is a fantastic recipe! These oysters are incredible! I was born and raised in the South and I have relatives who have stronger accents than Paula and her family! Oh by the way...I also have a brother named Bubba! Please don't knock what you don't know!

I wasn't sure about these things. Wow !!wrong. Make sure you cook these long enough for some of the liquid to boil off. they are better if the cheese starts getting a little brown around the sides.

I have made these Oysters and they are the best. I cooked them over charcoal the first time I made them and they tasted just like the ones I had at Uncle Bubba's Restaurant. I don't have a charcoal grill at home, though, so I added a little liquid smoke to the butter. Whether you cook them on a propane grill or under the broiler the liquid smoke gives it a really nice smoky flavor. As for some people stating that Paula's accent is not real...it is. I have worked with people in the south that have stronger southern accents than hers, and some people have a real twang, and others have a real southern drawl. Everybody speaks differently regardless of where they are from. I live in Georgia, and hear accents just as strong as hers everwhere I go. I don't understand why some people get on here and say nasty things. If you don't like her and don't believe she is an authentic person, then by all means, don't watch her. I find her amusing. Her accent sounds just like many of my relatives that come from Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and South Carolina.

Added minced fresh garlic and some dry vermouth - WOW! And I didn't think I liked oysters.

These are delicious! We've had them on several occassions at Uncle Bubba's. I've made them at home for friend's and relatives. They are always a huge hit.

From the first I made this recipe, they were gone in seconds. My family can't get enough of them. I make these at least twice a month, they are so easy and delightful. You can also use your broiler. Every recipe that I have tried from Paula has been delicious! ! ! ! !

My husband ordered these when we recently visited Bubba's restaurant. Normally just the sight of oysters makes me look away, but the awesome aroma of these got my attention so I ate one. Next time I'll have my own full order - they were absolutely great! I'll cook these for sure.
