    they tasted like a regular biscuit . the cheddar was not strong enough. for a regular biscuit they are still great and easy.

    These biscuits were very dry, i think the amount of butter milk in the recipe is wrong. Also a didn't know how much salt to put in them and they turned out salty, and I coudn't taste the cheese at all. I had to throw about half of them away :(

    I'm an experienced cook and decent baker and these come out of the oven pale and sickly-looking.

    Plus, what a vague recipe! Salt "to taste"? What cook worthy of a TV show doesn't give accurate amounts for baking ingredients? (Hint--tell us the weight of the flour and the other dry ingredients.

    Frustrating recipe in all respects except for how quick it was to make and decide I didn't like their look or taste.

    I halved the recipe, added 1t salt and 1/2t garlic salt to the batter. Would add a little less next time- was a tad too salty and I like salt. I added garlic powder to the butter topping and am glad I did. I will definitely make these again.
