I thought I folowed the recipe as posted on the site and they turned out fine. Next time, I'll try the two sticks of butter.

    Here's how mine turned out:

I saw this show yesterday and wrote down the recipe as Paula went along. It's definitely not the same as on this website. I made them this morning; they taste fantastic, just the way they are supposed to.
Unfortunately I cut the hole way too big in my plastic bag, and the dough was really stiff, so squeezing it through was a disaster, plus my bag split down the side. I ended up forming the sticks by hand. This was obnoxious, so I only made four of them. I wrapped the rest of the dough up in a log shape, in plastic, and it's resting in my fridge as we speak. I'm going to slice the into coins and bake them that way.

I watched this episode and wanted to print the recipe but it wasn't at all like the one on the show. Thanks to Sherry I have the right one and it is great!

No way will 1 stick of butter work. I used 2 and they were just ok, I've tasted much better.

Thanks to people who put the actual recipe on this board.I'm going to make these for a shower.I always read reviews for tips & adjustments. Why do they make so many mistakes when recipes are posted? I'll post back on how they turn out.

The recipe on the web site is different from the one on her show. you need both sticks of butter to make it work. Once I realized what had happened, the straws worked out very well. The secret is in the mixing.

Paula uses these cheese straws with her artichoke dip---you're better off using crackers. It's just way too cheesy--and trust me, I love cheese and butter and all the bad stuff...but the taste is just too much.

I saw Paula make these and was excited to try them as they looked easy and delicious. Unfortunately I found them boring and bland. They had very little flavor and at the oven temperature and time the recipe says to use, they bake up with a weird texture. I will definitely NOT be making these again.
