Awesome! My hubby loved it...so did I! Super easy to make. This recipe is a keeper. Love Paula!

Love this soup! The first time I made it, I did add all the butter, (gotta love that butter! and I added a few more cloves of garlic. I also just used milk instead of the half and half. The flavor reminded me and my hubby very much of the garlic shrimp scampi at Red Lobster, so I made it again with some shrimp, and I made red lobster style biscuits as a side. Delicious! Thank you Paula!

This corn chowder is excellent. My husband says it's the best soup he's ever eaten. I did make some changes...being from New Mexico, I added 4 oz. green chile, 2 cans of cream style corn, and 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese.

I am not a soup person. Or, I should say, I wasn't. I made some changes to this recipe but this was an excellent starter for me! I used half a stick of butter to sautee my veggies in. I used 3 small garden carrots. (Not those thick kind and 3 hearts of celery. When my roux had cooled I put on a pot of 3 cups chicken stock, 3 small white potatoes, and the corn. I let it boil for about 10 minutes and then added it to the veggies and stirred. It got sooo thick and creamy looking. Because I had potatoes in there I let mine cook for a while and then added 2 cups 2% milk. I served it up with some toasted bread and scallions. YUMMY!

My wife is sick with bone cancer and food is an important part of keeping her spirits up. We stopped in Savannah recently and ate at the Lady and Sons Restaurant. I can cook but I now use Paula's recipes for most everything I make for our family. Simply put, If you want it to taste better than good, Paula's recipes are the only way to go. Soup was "bowl licking" good and it was easy to prepare.

Wow, really rich, but also really delicious! Definitely need a nice crisp green salad to accompany. I also left out the second stick of butter as another reviewer recommended. There really is no need for it!

It was really good! I added a LOT of black pepper and nutmeg to give it the necessary kick though. I also added potatoes to make it a heartier, more filling soup as well as some bacon! :D

Comfort at one of its best. I did not use the second stick of butter, no need to. First day soup on its own. Leftover made it with Red Lobsters cheddar biscuits. OMG!!!
