Not quite what I expected from Miss Paula!I followed to recipe exactly, but it took forever to set and there was a horrible sour after-taste.

When I saw Paula make this, I couldn't believe something so easy would taste so good...especially not baking the cheesecake. It is actually quite yummy. It is, however, very rich so a little goes a long way. I found it to taste much better the second day...The flavors mellow out and aren't so pungent. I'll make this one again...the family loves it and it's super easy!

Thank-You, Paula. This was just the perfect recipe for my daughters to make on their own. They are 8 and 10. It was so wonderful to see the look of enjoyment in their eyes. The smiles on their faces were worth a million dollars and it truly was "BEST" Cream Cheese Pie ever. I had them cut the Lemon Juice to 1/3 cup and what a difference that made. Please, keep those kid friendly recipes coming.

I have been making this for years! My husband absolutely loves this. Sometimes I make it with peaches in heavy syrup (you need heavy syrup because it gels. Can't get any quicker, easier, or more delicious.

THis recipe is also in one of Paula's magazines, and the recipe calls for 1/3 cup lemon juice, which is plenty. Perfect for quick get togethers, and everyone loves it, It just needs a little time to set up, but is actually better at room temperature after it does set up. I don't think it matters where a recipe came from as long as it looks good and tastes good. Thank you for sharing the recipe:

Very familiar with this recipe, I have been making it at my families request for years. For a lighter pie fold in one cup of whip cream at the end.
For a twist in flavor cut the vanilla in half and add two tablespoons of syrup from a can/jar of mandarin oranges. Top the pie with the drained oranges before serving.

An old family favorite!! I add a bit OVER 1/2 cup lemon juice, and stir (not beat it in as suggested by others, and it sets up beautifully. I love the idea of adding a tsp of almond extract (or even real almond bits! to the cherrys. Great idea!
Also, this pie goes great with ANY of your favorite pie fillings/toppings: blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, etc.
