Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 pints cherry tomatoes
- 1 pint heavy cream
Directions
In a heavy skillet, melt the butter with the sugar and salt. Add the tomatoes. Cook stirring until the tomato skins begin to split. At this point, add the cream. Stir gently then serve.

did half recipe. absolutley wonderful. always wondered how this would taste and was very happy. even my grandson loved this. added just a little cornstarch to thiken and simmered on low. very easy and very good!

These were good! My cream didn't come out as thick as it shows in the picture, but these were delicious! It's a surprisingly good combination of flavors.

The base of this is awesome for a tomato soup. Follow all of the instructions but instad of cooking the tomatoes until they split go a little longer until they have released most of their juices. When it has cooked down a bit put the tomatoes in the blender and puree. Once blended the way you like return the mix back to the pot. Bring the mixture back up to temp and pour in the cream, add a little cayenne pepper or some red pepper flakes heat to just before boiling. It is awesome. A good grilled cheese sandwich and you've got yourself an easy delicious meal. .
