I made this recipe with chicken broth (not cubesand also bisquick instead of flour and water. It reminded me of a recipe I got from an earlier TV Food Network chef. It was very tasty, and my husband who always said he didn't like chicken and Dumplings loved it! Thanks Paula

I did have to thicken it up a bit with corn starch. Overall, it was great. I added carrots for more color. I thought I was saving time by using the old drop bisquick method (takes 20 min just to cook but I really think Paula's noodles are the fastest way to go. Sorry I second guessed you Paula.

This is a great twist on the Jiffy-style dumplings; the chicken is the main portion rather than a biscuit! I changed a few things with this recipe to make it fit my family's tastes. I used thyme, bay leaves, celery, italian parsley, peppercorns, garlic, onions and cayanne pepper with my chicken bones to make the stock. I drained all the veggies from the stock, and added shredded chicken and a small can of corn. I thickened the stock with cornstarch and a bit of cream instead of creamed soup and then added Paula's dumplings. The only thing I would changed next time would be to make the pieces of dough smaller for bite sized dumplings. This one is definetly added to the list of recipes my husband calls KEEPERS!

This turned out great. I'm used to the "drop" dumplings but I like this way better. Great taste and easy to make!

This recipe was easy and wonderful.
I am from Louisiana and this was my first time fixing chicken and dumplings without a roux.
My family was pleased and so was I!!
    Thanks Paula

I had last minute company and saw Paula whip this up earlier in the day. I decided to try it for myself. The dumplings were so good and simple. I used frozen chicken tenders. I preferred a boned chicken, but had to use what was on hand. I fed 7 adults and they LOVED it!
