I normally like Paula's recipes, but this one was a miss. It was like a bland chicken soup. Maybe some more veggies would liven it up a little.

I CAN'T BELIEVE EVERYONE USED THIS RECIPE & DIDN'T FIND 4 QT.'S OF WATER TO BE A BIT MUCH! I'M GLAD FN USES A DISCLAIMER, BECAUSE I'VE FOUND SEVERAL RECIPES TO BE ERRORED. IN ANY EVENT, I ONLY USED 2 QT'S OF WATER, 5 LBS. OF CHICKEN THIGHS & ADDED MIXED VEGETABLES. PLUS,WHERE I LIVE DUMPLINGS ARE NOT LIKE NOODLES. RATHER, THEY'RE LIGHT & PUFFY,USUALLY MADE WITH BISQUICK, SO I MADE THOSE INSTEAD. WHAT A GREAT ADDITION WITH THE CANNED SOUP FOR ADDED FLAVOR! WE LOVED IT. ANOTHER GREAT ONE PAULA-----JUST WATCH THE WATER GUYS, I'M SURE IT SHOULD ONLY BE 2 QT'S!

This recipe was delicious!!! I was skeptical about the use of Campbell's Soup as I know how bad it is for you. However, I see the appeal for it in this recipe! I used Cream of Celery and followed the recipe pretty closely ( no extra seasoning, and it was perfect. I used breast (on the boneonly. I also added carrots, which gave it some nice color. The good thing is, this soup is quite healthy (Im somewhat concerned about that! as the soup is diluted throughout and the rest of the ingredients are good. I highly recommend!!!!

I'm not originally from the South (CAbut my hubby is, and he loves this dish. I made it yesterday and the stock was out of this world DElish! We compromised by cutting up pre-made bisquits in a "tube" from the store and I also added a lot more veggies (green beans, mushrooms & fresh cut corn off the cob. It's way too much for the 2 of us, so we freezed 1/2 without the dumplin's... Paula I just LOVE the way you cook, darlin'!!!!

This was easy and delicious! I love Paula! I have always been afraid of making Chicken and Dumplings but after watching Paula do it... I tried it. I added the cream soup. (I used Mushroom it was all I had I also added some herbs to the dumpling dough. Next time I will add the thickener, I think it was the one thing missing. This is definitely going into the monthy rotation.
