I changed this a bit and it was wonderful: On chicken started by seasoning w/fresh ground pepper, garlic powder, pleasoning, seasoned salt. Used 3 chicken breasts cooked in olive oil & butter, browned but too much since would cook further in oven. Used 1/2 red onion. Didn't use water chestnuts or pimentos. Used Jasmine rice 6 oz dry. Turned out so tasty my picky husband wants again!

Soooooo loved this recipe. Easy to do and the kids went crazy for it. I took another reviewers advice and bought a precooked rotisserie chicken from my local supermarket. I, too, recommend this. You'll love it!!!

I tried a lot of things people mentioned. I used cut green beans (frozen, just rinsed them under water a bit. I didn't use the pimentos and tried red bell pepper for flare. I used all natural rice from Near East and light mayo from Trader Joe's to help make it a little more healthy. It tasted fine. It was very creamy, not saucy. That was good. I used a bit of french fried onions on top and the bisuits as suggested by someone else. It was comforting. I just wouldn't give it a 5 because it's semi homemade and it doesn't have that extra zing that would make it a 5.

A favorite already with my family. I used the garlic flavored Uncle Ben's long grain and wild rice, and the flavor was excellent. Also used a rotisserie chicken 3 cups of broccoli flowerets steamed until just barely tender - instead of green beans. This is one I will enjoy serving many times.

This dish was a big hit at my house. It's easy to make, attractive, and delicious. I cut the calories by using lite mayonnaise, and we never knew the difference.

I usually believe in making everything from scratch, and using only the freshest ingredients. Seeing that I had all the ingredients for this recipe on hand, I decided to give it a try. What can I say except 'WOW'! This dish was so yummy, that the small amount left after dinner, was eaten by me at 3 am this morning! The only substitution I made, was using a 14 1/2 oz can of whole chinese straw mushrooms, as I only had one can of the green beans. I highly recommend this dish, as it's quick, delicious, and a fantastic cupboard cleaner! :
