Very good and easy recipe. I use chicken that I have marinated in italian dressing and then grilled. It gives this dish a great smokey flavor.

I thought this was really good, but made some changes. Used cream of chicken instead of cream of celery, halved the mayo, omitted the water chestnuts and pimientos, and added french fried onions on top before putting in the oven. Turned out really good.

I read many reviews and made the following changes:
1 tablespoon mayo
4 ounces sour cream
2 tablespoons diced water chestnuts
2 tablespoons pimentos
Organic mushroom soup instead of celery soup
Fresh green beans cooked in chicken broth for an hour
Uncle Ben's Rice Pilaf mixed with Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild (didn't use it all
I used a whole lemon pepper rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. I cooked the green beans and de-boned the chicken the day before. I used exactly a cup of grated cheddar mixed in, and then lightly sprinkled just a little more on the top.
The taste is AWESOME! Do not overdo the cheese. A lot of the taste comes from the flavor packs that come with the Uncle Ben's rice, which is why I diluted the UB's Long Grain and WIld flavor with a package of UB's Rice Pilaf and its flavor pack. I did not add any butter to the rice, and I used spray canola to grease the casserole dish.

My husband, who doesn't like chicken, loves this casserole. I make it with a rotisserie chicken, double the cheese, and I substitute cream of chicken for cream of celery. I also omit the pimientos. It's definitely not health food, but it's a good winter meal.

I don't like mayonnaise or cream of celery soup so instead I subbed sour cream for mayonnaise, cream of chicken for cream of celery and broccoli for green beans. LOL! Yeah I almost completely changed it but trust me it's a good shell of a recipe it just needed some tweaking.

I LOVED how quick and easy this was to make! Also great to make and bring to someone. Thought it could use a little more crunch though...I'm thinking of adding crushed corn flakes to the top next time. Also, making it with light mayo and 98% fat free condensed soup, it isn't half bad for you!

A real winner! I grilled 3 chicken breasts with plenty of salt and pepper until almost done, and cubed. I used a 1 poumd bag of frozed french-cut green beans, cooked, roasted red peppers, a lot of cayenne pepper (our family likes it spicy and cheese on the top when baking.
We had guests over and served this with a salad and garlic bread.
I will be making this recipe again!

I gave this recipe 2 stars only because it was edible. I didn't like it at all. I cooked it exactly as the recipe said, but just did not think the flavors mixed well together.
