This is a crowd pleasure dish. Very easy to make. I use less Mayo than required and use Cream of Mushroom soup instead. Also used green olives with pimentos and 2 cloves minced garlic.

    Very tasty!!

After finding this recipe in one of Paula's cookbooks, I decided to give it a try. My small children aren't always big on casseroles, but they ate this one up in no time!! I omitted the water chestnuts because I don't care for the texture, and didn't have pimentos, but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. We all thought it was pretty good, but I felt like there was too much mayonnaise since that was the dominate flavor I tasted. I would love to try this again w/less mayo and a different soup, possibly cream of mushroom. I think whole grean beans vs. french cut would work better also. The recipe in the cookbook specifies french cut. I think adding some slivered almonds and/or french fried onions would be a great addition.

This is so delicious and is veryeasy to make. You can even make it ahead of time and put it in the fridge. Love it! Wouldn't change one thing! Thanks Food Network and Paula Deen for sharing!

I make this recipe almost every time I have 2 or 3 leftover BBQ chicken breasts, etc and my family absolutely loves it. It's quick, easy and inexpensive to make - which is always welcomed with a family of four kids (ages: 17, 16, 12 and 10 - not small eaters here and two adults! I double this recipe very easily and use 3 or 4 packets of the 90 second Uncle Ben's Microwavable Chicken flavored rice. I just dump everything in, mix and bake for a terrific meal that everyone enjoys. It also makes a great 'base' for you to add your own favorite flavors or leftovers that you want to use up. Change the chicken to shrimp and add red pepper instead of green beans and it becomes a totally different meal! You seriously can not screw this up! Enjoy!

My family had to order pizza tonight because this was awful! It was greasy and tasteless and pretty much inedible. There are other dishes that are just as easy to make and actually taste good.

Great & easy dish! We loved it the first time I made it which I followed the recipe exactly.
However, I always tend to tweak it to our liking...
I substituted the pimentos with fresh chopped red bell pepper.
    I added fresh chopped mushrooms.
I substituted the green beans with peas.
I substituted the cream of celery with cream of mushroom.

I enjoy the tartness the mayo adds but if you don't care for it you could easily replace 1/2 the mayo with more cream of celery or sour cream but it will also change the flavor of the dish.

I thought this was a great recipe and it's packed with flavor. I added fried onions on top for a little more crunch. Next time, I will add a little more rice and a little less mayo.

My husband and I love this recipe. It makes GREAT left overs and I always look forward to taking my lunch to work the next day. I only use the meat of one regular flavored rotisseri chicken (not bar-b-q. I leave out pimentos as I do not like those at all, nor do I use the onions in the butter. I think the mayo and cream of celery soup give it it's unique flavor. For those who want to substitute something for the mayo, it might still taste good, but the intended flavor will be missing. The recipe doesn't specify which type of green beans, but I use French style. The water chestnuts are a must....the crunch is great in this recipe!
