My husband loves this recipe, a little on the fatting side but well worth it every once in awile. Its alot better if you can make for more than 4 people since its alot of food.

Instead of using Seasoned salt I substituted Herb-ox very low sodium Chicken granulated bouillon. I use black pepper, granulated garlic powder and granlated onion powder. The amount I use suits my taste. My wife is on a very low salt diet and the end result is still great.

this is the best chicken and rice recipe I have ever eaten (except a pilau cooked in cauldrons every year in a little place called Coonbottom, FL. It is delicious!

I have been looking for a recipe similar to this forever. My father used to come every Sunday with his pots and pans and cook chicken and rice. We got a little tired of it, but years later, after he died, no one had the recipe and we kept trying to replicate it. I left out the hot pepper and sausage, and it was sooo similar. He had whole pieces of roasted chicken in with the drippings of the chicken, everyone I served it to loved it. The recipe is now in my keeper file

This was easy to get together, and tasted so GOOD. The chicken and sausage together is excellent. My son loved it too, (pretty picky eater. I love your show Paula! You seem like you would be a ball to be around and know as a friend. Keep up the good work!!!

This was a little boring and way too much rice.

My family loved this when I made it for them. The grease from the sausage is soaked up by the rice and tastes really good.
