I really loved this, it was so wonderful. Would make it again. Thanks Paula. It is a little buttery, but still very good.

This is an excellent, easy recipe! I cut some corners and used a Garli & Herb rotissery chicken to save time. Since I already had my chicken cooked, I sweated onions, the cut (light, smoked sausage and a chopped celery rib in butter & evoo (used my own discrection with regard to the amount of butter. Then I added 1/2 the water called for & added 1/2 chicken stock. Instead of the seasoned salt, I substituted Emerils' Essesence. Once everything was cooked up, I added the chicken and removed the bay leaves. Served with white bread slathered in butter, Crystal Hot Sauce and some sweet tea. Great leftovers for teenage boys to eat after school. THIS STUFF ROCKS!

My husband's eyes light up when he hears that we're having chicken bog for dinner. Even my picky 4 year old and 21 month-old like it, which surprises me since it does have a little kick to it. Guests always take seconds and comment on how good it is. I use lean turkey kielbasa instead of the smoked sausage, it comes out great every time.

I absolutely love chicken bog! To make the recipe easier for me, I buy a rotisserie chicken and substitute the water for chicken broth. This saves some time and still tastes GREAT!

I have been making this dish for a while now. I first tried this meal a year or two ago and my family loves it! I put it in my recipe box and I make it every winter sooo good. I love the heat and meaty taste that this dish gives!! I would recommend anyone to try it!

I used leftover turkey and turkey broth from Thanksgiving to make this recipe and it was a great use. It was simple to make and turned out pretty good but there was way too much butter. I would recommend cutting the butter down to 1/2 a stick at the most. Otherwise, delicious on a cold night!

I made this tonight. It was easy to make and good. I would imagine that it would be even better to make during the winter. In hindsight I would have bought the chicken already quartered so save me the work. Great comfort food. :

Yesterday was the first really cold day of winter here in Florida. The chicken bog was perfect in every way. Fantastic southern comfort food even our yankee friends loved it.
