Quick, simple and delicious! A real comfort food dish. As I like things more spicy, I added more seasoning and it turned out great.

Beware - the sausage makes this dish REALLY greasy. It is tasty and the smell is glorious. Paula's house seasoning is great and I will use it all the time. Plus, I had never purchased Lawry's Seasoning Salt before - YUMMY. The chicken and rice were really good but the sausage just made it really greasy. I will definately make this again but will try to find a low fat sausage or use a higher-end brand (I used Pepperidge Farm.

This is one of those rare recipes that is not only delicious, but versatile & always makes enough for unexpected guests or just having enough leftovers for another day. Dresses up or down & easy to make substitutions. In other words any nitwit could make this tasty treat!

This was a simple recipe to follow. My husband and I loved the results. The dish turned out savory, thick and with just the right amount of "kick". Thanks Paula!

An excellent dish! It was spicier than I expected too, even with using mild sausage. Easy to make, though it does take the full hour to cook, which can inconvenience some.
The smell of it cooking alone is worth it.

I made this and OMG it is a keeper for sure. I will probably cut back or leave out the red pepper next time cause was a bit tangy for me but I kept eating it anyway. I am thinking of adding more sausage next time and cut back on butter (loved the sausage in it. I know that whatever way I do it this will be a recipe I will use many more times. Thanks again Paula.
