    I altered the recipe quite a bit so i feel odd giving it 5 stars but with the changes I'd say it's close. I cooked fresh mushrooms in a little sherry alng with chopped onions and butter. I left out almonds and pimentos, sounded weird to me and like others might find it unapealing. Came out pretty good with changes. Heavy dish, but great for potlucks.

    This dish was just ok. I should know better when a recipe calls for opening up 2 cans of MSG laden cream of mushroom soup. But besides that, the flavor was just bland. For a family with somewhat progressive tastes they didn't care for it too much. Did they eat it? Yes. But I won't make it again. Sorry Paula.

    This has become a new favorite in my home ! The only thing I changed is that I do not use the almonds. I was skeptical about the pimentos. However, I love them and not using them changes the whole dish. That and the sherry, the sherry is a must !!

    This was a horrible, gloppy mess. Fortunately, I made it only for myself when my family was away; I would never serve them - or anyone else - a dish that I have renamed "Salty, Processed Rubber Bands".

    OH MY!! So delicious! I used everything in the recipe because I had it all on hand except cooking sherry and from what I read it's the special ingredient I will make it again with it for sure. It had enough flavor for my family without it though but can't wait to surprise them when I make it again...Thanks Paula :

    This is an awesome recipe! I think the sherry took this over the top. When I make this, I freeze the leftovers for another day. Freezes well!! Very tasty dish! I've made it many times and will continue to make it. A keeper for sure!
