Watched Paula make this. Went out that day and bought all the ingredients to make it for dinner that night. It was very bland. Wound up throwing it out.

This was way easy to make and tasted great! Our kids didn't like the almonds, so next time we won't use them. I love Paula's show and recipes!!!

I have yet to try a Paula recipe that has not been good. My husband said it was like crack because he couldn't quit going back for extra helpings. I substituted drained rotel for the pimentos and used fresh sauteed mushrooms. yummy!

I had left over chicken and thought I wuold try this out.
I did not have any sherry but had a little Merlot on hand and I added onion and left out the pimento.
    The boyfriend loved it.
It made so much that I took some to work for the girls to try and they loved it also.

This was a really good casserole and very easy to make. I noticed the comments others had written about seasonings being needed so I added a little garlic powder, minced onion, cayenne pepper and paprika.
I liked the almonds also - they give it a nice crunch.

I cooked this recipe about a week ago and thought it was one of the best chicken cassaroles I have had. The sherry in it gives it a wonderful flavor that I think cannot be replaced, so don't be afraid to make it because of the sherry- It is a very tasty dish.

I took Paula's recipe and made some adjustments to it, making it a little healthier, and to my surprise, there was no flavor lost to it at all.
