Hmmm, If I don't have any thing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Isn't that what we have been taught?
Well this was not at all what I would say was good. We ate it, but I will not be making this again.

Paula! I love you, why oh why did you do this to me???

While i am a huge fan of chicken, i found this to taste a bit better with chuck roast; cooked per directions as with the chicken, and used one small can (14oz of crm corn (that was all i had. Otherwise, it was fantastic as recipie stated, too!

I've been making Paula's recipe for Chicken Brunswick stew for over 2 years now. It's truly filling and wonderful. I've even made it my own by adding some chopped spicy sausage and serving it with warm corn bread. Definitely one of Paula's best southern meals.

Good to use as a base for the stew, but missing a number of ingredients I remember from growing up in the south. Also, a little sweet for me, should be more spicy and even a little hot. Maybe just my personal taste, but it needs Limas, Okra and some black eyed peas to round it out. I know it's shown to be chicken, but I think the addition of a little pork would enhance the dish somewhat.

My husband and I enjoyed this stew the first night, but couldn't finish the leftovers. Tomato and BBQ base was a bit overpowering.

This was my first time making brunswick stew and it couldn't have been easier! This is very inexpensive to make since you probably have most of the ingredients on hand. (I had never purchased liquid smoke before-it was only 90 cents! Thanks Paula for another great recipe! My kids even loved it!

Well, another fantastic recipe from Paula! I always frequent a popular BBQ restaraunt near my home with my fiance', and order their Brunswick stew every time. I finally decided to go online to find a recipe so that I can make it at home. I absolutely love cooking..especially soups from scratch in the winter (there is always some big stewpot in the fridge!. Without thinking twice, I immeadiately went to Paula, since if anyone knows anything about southern cooking, it's her! After looking at all of the reviews, and noticing that the only complaint was the sweetness, I simply modified it a little by omitting the sugar, subbing creamed corn for regular corn, and replacing the ketchup with more BBQ sauce, and added potatoes for the starch. It turned out perfect..maybe even better thaan the restaraunt(I won't mention names, haha! This soup will be a constant in my fridge for a while! Thank's again Paula for another fabulous recipe!

This is the first brunswick stew I have ever tasted, and I wasn't terribly impressed. Usually, I really like Paula's recipes, but this one tasted like a Sandra Lee "70% store-bought, 30% homemade" dish. When I was making it, I thought to myself, "this is a lot of ketchup," so I checked the recipe to make sure I had the correct measurements. Well, my gut instinct was right, it was WAY too much ketchup. It tasted like ketchup soup. Sorry Paula, this was a (rare recipe that I didn't enjoy.
