Fabulous! However, I do prefer it without the curry powder. It's a great dish to bring to any gathering!

It had been years since I had this casserole, and instead of trying to find my mothers recipe, i tried this one. So glad I did. It's delicious and true to the classic. I steamed fresh broccoli and cooked my chicken in a crockpot (covered it with white wine and chicken broth, low 4 hours. Shredded it and dried it along with the broccoli so the dish wouldn't be watery. Flavorful, creamy and comforting. I used Ritz crumbled on top, but next time I will try sharp cheddar.

Love this recipe : Really is my favorite Paula Deen dish...with her fried chicken being a close second! Because of this dish I became a HUGE fan of curry. I can't believe how well it works with this recipe. I'd eat this everyday if I could!

My advice, look up another recipe. I made this for my mother in law who is ailing and unfortunately it came out horribly. It was way too salty! And I only added a dash of salt. The lemon juice curdled the mayo and sour cream, making it really icky. I have made Chicken Devan with another recipe in the past and was really sorry I used Paula's recipe. Do not make this!

The dairy curdled. It made it unappetizing. I followed directions and only put a dash of salt in, but it ended up being too salty as well. Lastly I really didnt care for the curry taste.

I made this for dinner last night, and I have to say it was just ok. Paula normally hits it out of the park, but this recipe felt like it was missing something. It had good flavor, and the chicken was tender, but like I said, it was missing something. I'll probably make this again, but I will add cooked pasta to it and see if that fixes the issue.

Just as good as I anticipated. Used cream of chicken, didn't have mushroom. Also, had to make the recipe smaller for just 3 people but turned out delicious!
