Gotta give it the 5 stars - BUT I DIDN'T USE THE CURRY and doubled the bread crumb portion based on other reviews. I also love to cut calories wherever possible and I did so on this recipe - still turned out mind blowingly delicious & creamy. Here's how:
I used Hellman's Low Fat Mayo, Heart Healthy Campbell's Mushroom Soup, Naturally Yours Fat Free Sour Cream, 2% Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese, whole wheat soft bread crumbs AND panko crumbs for added texture, & substitute spray butter for the real melted butter.
Based on the chef's not about adding cheese to the top, I threw in the rest of the Sharp Cheese I had grated right into the crumbs before baking. It all came out awesome served with some bow tie pasta. YUMMMMMMY GO PAULA! :o

If you follow the recipe exactly and even bake it for the maximum amount of time, it ends up being way too creamy and in serious need of more bread crumbs, if not an actual slice of bread to absorb all the cream. The taste of the cheddar cheese and the sour cream together overpowered the entire dish and I personally thought it tasted awful. I would give it one star but I'm giving it 2, because my husband loved it. This recipe would be better if served on top of thick layer of bread or bread crumbs, or if served on top of whole chicken breasts. Also, the directions are not clear on how finely to shred the chicken. I shredded it too much and could barely taste it in the sea of mayo and sour cream, so if you do decide to make it, leave your chicken in big chunks so that you have something substantial in the dish other than broccoli. Overall, I do not personally recommend this recipe.

This dish is absolutely delicious and SIMPLE!! I've made it a few times now and I omit the curry powder. It's a hit with my family! My 3 year old can't get enough of it (which says a lot as she is a picky eater! I usually serve over egg noodles or brown rice. Also serve a garden salad as a side. Great meal!

The curry ruined this dish. My family could barely finish it. Otherwise it would have been really good.

We make this all the time. I always use fresh lemon juice and fresh broccoli instead of frozen and it is always delicious! I don't understand the 4 star rating.....this is a favorite at my house, kids and all!

It was so easy and I used rotisserie chickens so that gave it an even better taste and made it much easier to boot

This is really good. I topped it with Ruffles instead of bread crumbs and it was even better. I think next time I'd leave out the Parmesan completely or substitute cheddar on top.

I used Amy's Cream of Mushroom Soup instead of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup, and the flavor was a lot more intense, in a good way. Amy's soup is harder to find unless you have a Whole Foods or other natural food store nearby, but the soup has a lot more flavor, which enhances the dish.

Wow, this was really good! Made it tonight, didn't have wine so used chicken broth. My son went back for thirds! Said he wanted to know how to make the sauce. Great job, Paula. This will be on our regular menu rotation.
