My family absolutely loves this recipe. If using the full recipe this dish is HUGE. I have a family of four and cutting this recipe in half still makes plenty with some leftover. The only thing I really change is to use panko bread crumbs mixed with the cheese on top and omit the butter on top. I find that this gives a crunchier topping and cuts a tiny bit of fat in this already very rich dish. Served over rice this makes an awesome meal.

Paula is right. You can't have too much cheese in this recipe. I made some adjustments by adding mushrooms, garlic salt and egg noodles with 2 1/2 cup of cheese. Also I substitute wheat germ for bread crumbs. Delish!!

I love this reciepe! I used fresh spinach instead of frozen and not quite as much as the reciepe calls for. It is great for a cold winter day, warm and comforting. If you are not a fan of curry try substituting it with garlic powder. Beware though it is very rich :

Made this dish tonight, thought it was pretty good. I will put in half the amount of curry powder next time because it was a bit too strong.

Delicious! Substituted left over Thanksgiving turkey for the chicken and cut the recipe in half since I was serving just 2 for dinner. Left overs of this dish are even better! Thanks, Paula!

Paula, such a great recipe but I did a few changes to fit what my mother of 92 years old would like in her food. I did not use the curry instead added garlic powder. Added zucchini, onions, carrots fresh spinach and walnut for crunch and added crackers to the toppings. Thanks for a wonderful recipe! I don't understand the negative reviews cause I followed your recipe to the T and it was wonderful! The recipe is a keeper!

I saw this episode a week ago and it looked amazing as well as easy. Aside from picking the chicken, it was! I had read that this dish was not great to eat as a casserole (as OD does on the show, so I cooked half a box of angel hair, added a little olive oil and lemon juice, and we ate the dish as a pasta. The only alteration I made to the recipe was to eliminate the curry. I added salt and fresh pepper to taste and took a bite of the sauce before I mixed everything together and decided I liked the flavor by itself. I think leaving out the curry really allowed for the flavor from the wine - delicious. My husband told me to put this dish in my top 5, so he loved it. I would do everything exactly the same next time, except I would probably half the recipe. If you add it to pasta, you could eat this for days and days! We both went back for seconds and barely put a dent in it!
