I had high hopes for this recipe...make it once...have it over and over. However, I was disappointed. The flavor was ok, but I thought it lacked any texture. The fork fulls with the topping were great, but made the other bites even more boring.
IF I make it again, I will definitely increase the amount of both the cheddar and parmesan and will try it with pasta as others have suggested. One thing it has going for it, is it makes a huge amount.

I made this recipe but made a few substitutions--I used low fat cream of mushroom soup as well as lower fat mayo and sour cream. I also doubled the spinach and first sauteed some onion, garlic, and mushroom. It was great!

I tried this recipe after seeing Paula make it. I did exactly what the recipe said do,without substitutions. It turned out to be not good at all. My family did not like it and I did not like it. I have tried many of Paula's recipes and this is the worst. It did not stand up and was rather tangy and soupy. I made it today and there is more than 3\4 of it left that I will probably just end up putting down the disposal. I also made the Vidalia onion cornbread which was good. I ate mostly the cornbread because the florentine looked less and less appetizing every time I looked at it. Sorry Paula! But this one is going to be excluded from my collection of your many other delicious recipes.Maybe the next one of your casserole recipes I try will make up for this flop. (smile I still luv my girl Paula!!

After reading these reviews I expected to either love this dish or hate it. Truth is, it was pretty good. The curry flavor is definitely prevalent in this dish, so if you're not a fan stay away. I thought it was pretty easy to make, but did take a bit of time because I had to cook the chicken first. I used just over 3 lbs of boneless chicken breast, which I decided to poach. The chicken turned out great. I think the reviews that mention that it is soupy probably didn't use enough chicken because mine was definitely dense enough and looks just like the picture. I listened to the advice of others and decided to only use 1 box of frozen spinach. I am so glad that I did, because otherwise it would have completely dominated the dish. 1 box was perfect. I didn't have a lemon, so I just put in a little more wine. I'll probably make it again, especially if my husband (who isn't home yet loves it like I think he will.

This recipe wasn't "horrible" but it didn't quite make sense. The curry - though only 1 teaspon was QUITE strong (for any of you who don't regularly eat it that is. i don't think i will make it again, and I CERTAINLY would not make it with the vidalia cornbread that she made on her show - did not go together at all.

"tastes great"-"tastes funny" "too land"-"too tangy" "spinach overpowering""- "I addad more spinach" Just goes to show you can't please everyone, and we all have different tastes!

I liked the recipe but no one in my family would eat it because of the strong curry flavor. Also, after eating it twice I had to throw it out because each portion must have been 1500 calories - much too much mayo, sour cream, cheese, etc.
