Big fan of this recipe. I have made it many times and usually omit any added salt as there is enough in the soup. Curry flavour is pronounced but I love it and do not find it overwhelming at all. For those who complain about the richness... it's a Paula recipe, what did you expect? Definitely not an every week meal but great for a treat. As usual, you can't go wrong with Paula.

Excellent! We served it over brown rice. I don't normally care for curry, but it was great in this dish. I didn't have the soup, so I made a white sauce. Also I used fresh spinach instead and wilted it down in the white sauce. Finally, I only had Romano cheese, so I used that instead. Everything else I did was exact. The only problem I found, and this may have been because I used Romano, was that the Romano was overly done. I mean, it was very overdone. Otherwise this was amazing good and simple. My family ate it up. This will be fixed again and again in the future. Thanks Paula!

It took a little longer than billed but it is tasty. I cut the recipe in half and still fed four people with leftovers.

I have eaten this dish before with mushrooms and loved it.Here I substituted 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup for the mayo and switched heavy cream for the sour cream.I did not use bread crumbs but used sliced fresh mushrooms instead and also used fresh Parmesan cheese on top.I cut my chicken into bite size pieces to make it easier to eat and mixed them with the spinach, then added that to my sauteed shallots, garlic and mushrooms. As a nice finishing touch I placed my entire dish in a casserole dish and placed it under my broiler to allow the cheese to melt on top.Final rating from my family was a 9.5 so I was extremely happy

Overall, a crowd pleaser. I generally avoid Paula's recipes as well, they aren't exactly healthy. I was intrigued by the combination of ingredients so wanted to try it despite the mayo. Which seems to be a Paula staple. I substituted low fat mayo, low fat sour cream and low sodium cream of mushroom soup and used a whole wheat panko bread crumb for the topping to try to mitigate. I don't typically have bone in breasts around so just poached and shredded some boneless breasts instead. I realized I didn't have any regular curry so used red curry instead and it worked out beautifully. I served it over a whole grain penne.
