fantastic! my family loved these. The sauce really makes them.
I just made this right now and they are the best nuggets I have ever had. They are very tender inside and crunchy outside. I used a large baking pan instead of a baking sheet and used a lot less butter. Next time I will use even less. You don't have to cover every bit of chicken with the butter, when it melts it spreads out. While making them I was worried that the chicken wasn't thoroughly covered by the chips, but when they cooked they were perfect.
Very different concept with the chips, but good flavor and crunchy
    Paula you rock
    TO DIE FOR!!!!
I hope they leave this recipe up, it is so fun and yummy
Love it easy to make when my grandson is over. I also love your Italian Chicken Sticks when you don't want nuggets try them. Thanks Paula! I hope the network rethinks this. I loved the food network and your shows were always fun and made me smile.
This was a great, easy recipe. I tweeked it slightly (litte more of this, little less of that but the basic recipe was good. I used Gulden's mustard to add a little spice and character.
Looking for a GOOD Honey Mustard sauce. This was not it.
I would not make this again.
Wish I could find the one they serve in the restaurants.
These chicken nuggets were a huge hit at my house. I didn't make the honey mustard dressing, as I knew everyone at the table would have their own prefered dipping sauce at the ready. My stepson was especially a fan, and I was glad that I actually knew what was in his food, unlike serving up grocery store chicken nuggets.
My family and my daughters boyfriend love - love - love this chicken and honey mustard dip. Everyone including myself kept going back for more. My husband went back for 3rds - this never happens. Amazing chicken. and sauce. I doubled the recipe. I could not tell you how the leftovers are because there weren't any except the sauce. I will be making this again soon.
I would give the chicken by itself four stars. It was delicous right out of the oven and for about an hour afterwards. Leftovers are out of the question because the crust becomes very soggy. The sauce was not very good either, and I'd give it 2 stars. My husband and I ended up eating the chicken with premade dressing.
I used Original Baked Lays potato chips because Publix and Walmart do not stock Baked Lays Sour Cream. I will definitely use regular Sour cream for guests. I used only enough melted butter as needed, baked 15 minutes at 350. They were tender, moist, and delicious. I baked the 1 1/2 " pieces then cut to bite sized. I crushed the potato chips really well, otherwise they would not have stuck to the nuggets.
I microwaved a small portion of the baked nuggets that had cooled and they came out perfectly so now I know that I can make them ahead and microwave small amounts as needed. Bobby's dipping sauce is superb! I used 2 tsp. horseradish and it was mild, even for kids . Also, tI used 1 tsp. lemon juice otherwise I think more would have made the sauce too thin. I disagree about adding orange juice. This is an ideal Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce. I highly recommend it!
I LOVE this recipe : It is so easy and such a HUGE hit with the kids and hubbie! It is better than going out to eat! Thank you Paula Deen <3
Thank you Paula! This recipe was easy and quick. My family loved the honey mustard, i never knew it was so easy to make. My son loved crushing the chips. We will be making this yummy chicken again!
The chips were a really good addition and added a nice layer of flavor to the traditional chicken nuggets :
I only tried this recipe for the honey mustard sauce, and it's really good, but it tastes to much like regular mustard. I made a few revisions of my own. I substituted 1 tbsp of Classic Yellow mustard with dijon mustard. I added 1 1/2 tbsp of honey extra, and 1/2 tsp of extra lemon juice. I also added 1 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp of pepper for some color. I also completely removed the horseradish because I do not like horseradish.
I love this recipe. First tried it when my grandpa was watching the show and printed the recipe for it. I have tried it with both sour cream and onion chips and barbeque chips. Both were wonderful, however; i have noticed that some brands of potato chip do not work as well as others. Some brands add too much salt where others are too greasy. If the first batch does not work for you, try a different brand of chip or even a different flavor. My father-in-law does not like sour cream and onion so we tried barbeque and now every time I make them I make half of each. I always add the butter to mine and sometimes find myself using extra.
    Butter. Skip it.
EXCELLENT! I have also used regular potato chips and added dried parsley flakes and onion powder to the crumbs. I did not drizzle the nuggets with butter either ; but sprayed them with Pam before baking. I put them on a cooling rack which was on a baking sheet;that way both sides get crispy! I flipped them halfway during cooking too. For the honey mustard sauce I followed it exactly, using 3 TBS fresh OJ which I thought was the perfect consistency for dipping.
The honey mustard sauce is to die for!!!!
We thought this was very bland. With the chips and butter on the nuggets, we thought there would be a lot of savory flavor but there was hardly any flavor. The honey mustard sauce was okay but very mayonnaisey. This wasn't a bad recipe, just not what I've come to expect from a Paula Deen recipe. And I couldn't imagine serving this at poker night because it gets your fingers really greasy.
Paula and her boys did it again. This recipe was great. I just tried this and my husband and daughter absolutely loved it. THere wasn't a nugget left. So this is a keeper in my book. And I love how easy it is to make and you can even prepare more for later and just freeze it. I recommend this recipe to whoever loves nuggets!! I am going to try next to add a different flavor and see how they come out!! Thanks again too paula and her boys!!
Made this twice! It's really good and the honey mustard sauce is great!
Super yummy! I don't bother with the butter, but the sauce is a "must make." After trying the recipe once, the second time I made a super-sized batch so I could freeze most of them. They are the perfect kid dinner after sports practice - right from the freezer to the toaster oven to happy kid's tummies!
Good basic start but always use your own touch and favorite flavors. Mix it up. If you're not experimenting with this recipe then you may as well just make cafeteria food.
I made this for the kids for Christmas dinner and not only did they LOVE it, the adults did too. I made about 3 large filets for about 5 kids but they were gone in minutes (they were that great. Next time I will make more since I can freeze them for later. I ended up crushing the chips with my bear hands even smaller so that it would cover more of the chicken and it worked just as great. I may venture out and try the recipe with BBQ chips and see if that is any good. THanks Paula for such an easy and delicious recipe!
liked the chip idea, but i personally think its better to crush them more than they did in the video cuz the only problem i was having was with the chips sticking to the batter. otherwise, everyone here thanked me a lot for making them. they were gone almost as quickly as they were made. an annoying part was having to do it in about 3 different batches (would've been more if I did it the way they did in the video, give the nuggets room apart from one another.
This is my very FIRST time making this recipe and my WHOLE family LOVES it!! Way to go PAULA and her boys:
