Overall a good idea, but way too much butter. I only used half a stick (not the 4 sticks stated in the recipe and both my husband and I thought it was still too rich.

Paula! This is one of my favorite splurge recipes. I had this featured for my rehearsal dinner and only have it once a year or so. Thank you for providing us with such bliss!

Loved this recipe. I did make a few modifications to the sauce to make it a little less calorie rich-Definitely did not add FOUR sticks of butter, only used half a stick and instead of using only heaving whipping cream I combined it with half and half. I didn't have any white wine so instead I used Marsala wine and half the amount of lemon juice. Dinner was a success!

Wow! Made this the other night and had a feeling my husband was not going to like it. He loved it, ate too much, and went to bed early. My 5 year old loved it too and she is so, so picky. Definatley a keeper in our house! We live in the sticks, an hour plus, from dallas/ft. worth, and I could not get pancetta. I substituted crispy fried bacon, which is the texas version of pancetta.

I thought the taste was really good but I'm going to have to give it three stars, instead of four because I thought FOUR STICKS OF BUTTER in addition to the heavy cream in this dish was a little over the top - even for PAULA!

The dish is tasty and very rich. I really felt AWFULLY GUILTY eating this which took away the whole pleasure part!! I didn't feel guilty though, tossing the leftovers!

Very Good! We do not drink alcohol so I substituted chicken broth and bacon for the pancetta. Like many other comments said I reduced the butter to two sticks. However, the sauce is still so rich that I would be careful adding it in until you see how much you like. I just put sauce and chicken on my children's serving and they loved it. I thinks that the recipe would really benefit from some garlic, shallots, or both

AMAZING! Definitely Restaurant Quality! I also used only 2 sticks of butter for the sauce and it was sooo good! Highly Recommended!

By far my FAVORITE pasta dish I have ever made! This was so wonderful it is beyond words... My fiance and I ate more then we have ever ate in one sitting... I used 3 sticks of butter instead of 4 and added a touch of garlic to the sauce while whisking. It was sooo sooo good. Can't wait until we are able to move again and re-heat some more for a midnight snack... Try this!
