This was so bland, it definitely needs more spices...unfortunately i don't know which ones. Very disappointing.

This recipe was really good. I added cabbage and fresh bean sprouts towards the end, and also added some orange zest to the simmer sauce. It turned out to be delicious!

This recipe was very easy and quick. Great for weeknights dinner when there is not much time on hand. It was not bland at all!!! It was savory, delicious, and great served over rice. If in the mood for something quick, this is it!!! This will be my go to recipe when in a lazy mood.

I wanted an easy stir fry recipe but was skeptical that this would be bland, though it had all the necessary basics. So I marinated the chicken in soy sauce and dark sesame oil, replaced the powdered ginger with grated fresh, and added some extra hoisin, dark sesame oil and a big dollop of chili garlic sauce at the end. It was fabulous this way. I used only 1 lb of chicken and just broccoli, shiitakes and an onion, and didn't have too much sauce.

I liked it, but it was a little bland. I added fresh garlic and fresh ginger, but still a little bland. I will try it again and maybe add a little red pepper flakes like someone suggested. It is very easy to make. The hardest part is cutting up all the veggies.

    EASY, LOVE IT.
Saw Paula making this on t.v. Looked simple Had bean sprouts on hand and added them in at the end, market didn't have the correct mushrooms so bought sliced fresh regular which worked fine. I like the flavor of the hoisen sauce so added some to the angel hair pasta. actually a pretty healthy meal. Whole family says 5stars. F.Y.I A must try is Paula's Beef Stroganoff. The one made with condensed soups, they are a no fail great meal also.

Very fast, easy and healthy recipe! I increased the hoisin sauce to 1/2 cup and used flank steak instead of chicken.

A very easy recipe to prepare and cook. The sauce was a touch too bland for my taste but was easily remedied with some spice. Don't underestimate and think that the amount of liquid at the end is not enough...the use of corn starch really expands and thickens nicely! Overall a great recipe!
