This was a really fast and easy meal. I used a bag of frozen stir fry veggies, with the baby corn, red peppers, broccoli, water chestnuts, italian green beans, carrots. And then i chopped a carrot real thin slices. And used chicken .Then followed the rest of the recipes . But i used the rice because thats what i had on hand . and this was very yummy ! Im sure i will made this again very soon.

Adding more Hoisin and more Ginger gave this dish some flavor.

This was very easy to make, and the most time consuming part was chopping the vegetables. The sauce tastes mostly like hoisin, so I'm not sure why some reviewers found it bland, though it wasn't the most interesting flavor. I did use freshly grated ginger instead of ground ginger, and served it over steamed jasmine rice. Overall, it was good and I'd make it again, perhaps adding some siracha or red pepper flakes for heat, as other reviewers suggested. That would perhaps give it a little bit more complexity.

This is my first time trying the Hoisin sauce and I was pleasantly surprised. The earthy flavor of the Hoisin combined with the ginger made this a very tasty meal. The rice noodles provided a nice balance to the Hoisin sauce.
This recipe is now a part of our favorite recipes!
Thanks Paula!

One of the best stir fries I've ever tried! The sauce was tasty and I love that it makes alot! Paula, you must add garlic! Don't leave that out! I added 4 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon fresh grated gingerroot instead of the powdered stuff. It makes all of the difference in the world.I followed the rest of the recipe exactly and served over jasmine rice with pork egg rolls -fabulous! To those of you who thought it was bland, you could always add sriracha. I like that recipe was tasty, but mild enough for my 6 year old son. My hubby and I just added some fresh ground chile paste at the table. I love the combo of veggies in this and the shiitake mushrooms are wonderful! I think this would be good with pork tenderloin or top sirloin steak also. Thanks for a recipe I'll make again!

I agree with another reviewer that this recipe is bland. I followed the recipe but did add a small amount of garlic however, it needs something more. The potential is there - perhaps additional soy sauce or red pepper flakes. I did not find it sweet as others mentioned. I do make stir fry often and will try this recipe again with some adjustments.

This dish is absolutely fabulous! I often wondered how you get the sauce for the rice perfect. We used rice instead of noodles. This dish was spicy, flavorful and delicious! A sign of a good cook is someone who can make any dish with the ingredients at hand. Paula proves this. Her dish is better than our local Chinese Takeout! My husband asked me to make this dish for him 3 days in a row! Way to go, Paula!
I'm glad I can depend on Paula to make me look good!
