My boyfriend and I both loved this dish! I could not find hoisin sauce, but was able to find a recipe to make it homemade, and it was super simple and a great addition to the recipe!

We loved the combo of vegetables and the sauce was OK, but it needs more soy sauce or straight up salt. We used Chow Mein noodles instead of the rice noodles. The crunch was a nice additional texture and added some of the saltiness we felt was missing.

My family loved this recipe. I made a few substitutions and revisions, though. First, I marinated the chicken in sesame oil and soy sauce for about two hours before cooking. I made it in a wok, starting with the chicken which I browned in batches and then set aside. I used red, green and yellow peppers, and substituted snow peas for water chestnuts. Importantly, I used fresh grated ginger in place of the powdered ginger. This makes a huge difference! I also used a little more soy sauce and a little more sesame oil than the recipe called for. I served it with plain white rice. It was great!!

I made this for my husband and he was in love
I substituted some veggies since he is picky.
But it is an amazing dish!

At the end of the recipe, it says: "Add to pork mixture and bring to a boil over medium-high heat." Since it's for a chicken stir fry and at this point the "mixture" should not be boiled, this is an obvious mistake. Seems like another recipe got spliced into this one.
I have not made this, so my three stars reflects only the error in instructions and not the final product.

This was the first time I tried this recipe and it was wonderful. So easy and quick to make and tasted so good. Tasted just like take out, not too sweet and great with fresh ginger!

I loved this dish! It was so easy to make but I think the ginger was a little too much. Next time I will only use half the amount of ginger. Other than that it ws delish!
