I cut this recipe in half because I only had 3 eggs. I had leftover french bread and some leftover cream. Everything else I had on hand- very easy and fast. It worked out just fine. I thought it was tasty and unusual enough for company. It definately needs whipped cream!

I substituted croissants for the bread, and used a combination of white chocolate & semi-sweet morsels...died & went to heaven!

this was a big success my wife is a bread pudding fan and I wasn't sure how she'd like this - she loved it. This is terrific served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping too.

This was a very easy recipe to follow. I made it for a dinner party and everybody loved it. I added sliced almonds for some crunch and put in a little less sugar.

I don't much like bread pudding but my mother in law loves it . . . I hoped that this would make a good compromise. As it turns out, she didn't much like it and I loved it. It loses a star because of the almond extract. I found it to be overkill as did one of my friends. The other four people who had some couldn't even taste it so I think I'll leave it out altogether next time. And yes, there will be a next time. Incidentally, it's especially good with a custard sauce drizzled over it. *drool*

This was a terrific bread pudding recipe. There is not a bite without chocolate and the liquer gives it a bit of a bang.

this is currently my favorite recipe. Soooooo good, it's wrong! I am not a drinker and don't have it around, so i replaced the chocolate liqueur with half and half and a touch extra cocoa powder. I also use a whole bag of milk chocolate chips instead of shavings or whatever it calls for. And I let it soak for about 30 minutes instead of 20. Can you tell I've made it a few times!? But oh my gosh it is soooooo beyond good! I like it cold the next day! YUMMY! Good job, Paula!

Everyone gave this rave reviews! Made 2 changes - omitted the almond extract and substituted grand marinier for the coffee liqueur - delicious!!
