Very tasty! I love chocolate! Sprinkle a dusting of the recipe flour over the chocolate chips before u add them, and they will not sink. I am freezing one loaf for ltr.

Very easy to make, didn't have two loaf pans so used a 9x13 instead, baked a little quicker that way,,,gave it only 3 stars because I didn't care for the pecans in it,,,(not a big fan of baking with nuts though in all honesty like to make a recipe the way it's written before making changes....will do it again but without the pecans....the chocolate chips sunk to the bottom,,otherwise moist and tasty,,,

I thought this recipe was AWESOME!!!!!!!! I am a chocoholic and this bread was moist, chocolately, yummy and goes great w/a glass of milk or a cup of hot tea. I was short on the choc chips, but it did still come out really good. I made one loaf for me, and one for my bff who shares my love of the chocolate bean. I did notice that in my glass pan it "burned" a little on top, but in my metal one it came out perfectly fine. Next time I make it gonna add some caramel and make it a "turtle" loaf for my bff.

Did not care too much for the butter, I think it needs less butter and more fudge, but overall excellent, excellent recipe. May make this for my SS kids next week.

I thought this chocolate bread and butter were the two best things I have eaten all Christmas season! I wanted to devour the whole loaf. Thanks for sharing the recipe with us!

I followed the recipe exactily, no less and no more.
It turned out just ok, would not do it again, turned out moist but dry blah tasting like something was missing.
Will not do it again, throwing the recipe away.
I made the Chocolate Sauce as the recipe said, it was just ok, didn't knock my socks off, I'll come up with my own recipe that will put the one from the show to shame.

I already reviewed this bread before making it and I gave it 5 stars based on the reviews. Now that I have made it, I am giving it 4 stars. It tasted good...like a big brownie but after tossing the nuts and chips with flour, they still sunk to the bottom and stuck to the pan a bit. I had no problem with the baking time so there was no need to shield the bread.

I like this bread a lot! But, I did have a problem with chocolate chips. I didn't like the semi-sweet flavor, so I think I might try this recipe again with milk chocolate chips, and the chips sank to the bottom of the pan (this wasn't that big of a deal to me though. The last problem was that there were a lot of chocolate chips in one loaf, so I might consider decreasing the amount - maybe by half? Overall, I enjoyed the richness of this bread and how it all got eaten by my family! Thank-you, Paula!

Amazing bread. I did not have any cocoa powder on hand, so I used approximately 1/2 cup of melted milk chocolate and mixed that into the batter. Like some previous reviewers, I also felt the amount of oil was excessive, so I reduced it by 1/2. Bread turned out fluffy and tender. Unlike others, I did not have any trouble with my bread being overdone, or stuck to the pan. In fact, mine cooked for exactly one hour and was perfectly done. Remember - no recipe will cook exactly the same in everyone's kitchen or in every environment. Keep a close eye on your bread. When pressed lightly, it should spring back immediately. When it does, you are set to go! Enjoy everyone!

I know Paula mixed everything together, but if you mix the nuts and chocolate chips in some of the flour before mixing them into the batter, the nuts and chocolate chips will be evenly distributed throughout the batter.
