I used reduced fat cream cheese and cut the butter in half. I formed it into a hockey puck/disc shape and it firmed up better than I expected. I was fully prepared to turn into a dip/spread, since I used the reduced fat and less butter. But since it firmed up ok. I covered it with mini chips. I used mini chips in the mixture also, so I cut the marshmallow in half for better proportions. Served with grahams and pretzel. Super easy to throw together and definitely better the next day.

This was sooo yummy. I saw this and couldnt wait to make it for a party. It got rave reviews and everyone loved it. The only thing I added was to roll the chocolate ball into mini chips rather than nuts. It was yummy. I also used the mini chips in the cheese ball. Will make this again!

Not sure what I did wrong, it came out very pasty...I checked the ingredients...and I had all the ingredients right. I expected it a little drier. Anyone have this problem?

I'm well known for my cheeseballs at my children's school. I volunteer for the bookfair every year & I always make goodies for all the helpers. My chocolate cheeseball doesn't call for marshmallows or butter. I may have to make 2 this year & see which one folks prefer more!

OMG!!! Chocolate Ball of Goodness, as it is called in the office was a HUGE hit!!! Use honey graham crackers which make it taste like a smore. I also use the mini chocolate chips and pecan bits on the outside.

I was looking for a recipe that used mini marshmallows since I had some left over from Christmas and came across this recipe. I made it for a New Years Eve party and everyone LOVED it! I served it with pretzel rods (my fav- sweet and salty, you can't go wrong!, Nilla Wafers and graham crackers (everyone else's fav. I skipped the fridge step before shaping into a ball and just piled it in the center of a plate, used plastic wrap to mold it and then chilled it (that's how I make all cheeseballs.
