When I make these, I line a large pan or cookie sheet with wax paper and lay the finished pretzels on the wax paper and then put them in the fridge for about two hours, which is about the time it takes for them to set. Once they are set, I then put them in a sealed container or large ziploc bag and back in the fridge (although, I'm not sure if they must stay in the fridge. Such a fun recipe to make with kids and for kids.

Assuming most people have made them ahead of time... Do you store them sealed up at room temp. or refrigerate them?

I got these pretzels as a holiday gift and absolutely love them! Although I'm not a big pretzel fan, they taste really good covered in chocolate and coated with sprinkles. And they're so pretty! It's a great gift idea or to enjoy yourself.

If you're still looking for the answer. ;o

The only way I can think of to get the 'candy cane' effect would be to wrap the pretzel in a strip of foil then coat the pretzel with chocolate by hand where there's no foil and apply sprinkles. Once that's set, strip off the foil and, again, by hand, coat with chocolate and apply sprinkles. I've done something similar with cheese logs where I wanted a two-tone color coating. It's about the only way to get nice clean lines. HTH! :o

I am getting ready to make these treats & I really would like mine to look like the ones in the picture that have rotating color patter, green, red, swirl like n the milk chocolate dipped pretzel. Any ideas besided jsut covering them.

Should you pour the sugar onto wax paper and then roll the chcolate dipped pretzel over pattern?

Let me know what works! Please

I've hosted a Christmas Cookie Exchange at work for 15 years. One of my co-workers does not bake at all and wanted to attend. Your magazine came last Fall with this recipe in it . It was the perfect recipe for her to bring. She experimented with different sprinkles and colored sugars and they were just beautiful. Everyone enjoyed them, in fact she's making them again this year. We all agreed that the white chocolate was the best.

This was something that was easy and lots of fun for my 5 yr old, 10 yr old, and my 12 yr old to do.
