I did not bother making the filling, but I have to tell you. This recipe yields 2 dozen to be exact, and its the most DELICIOUS cake product I've ever made. The butter cream is a slice of heaven and it's so moist you'll drool over it. Thanks Paula!!!!!!!!

My Granddaughter and I have made these cupcakes 3 times and they are the best Chocolate cupcakes ever. We both love coffee and the combination of both coffee and chocolate is indescripable. The church bake sale we made them for, gone in a blink of a eye. We even shared with one of my doctors and his wife just had to have the recipe, said she never tasted cupcakes so good. Way to go Paula, these cupcakes are as good as you.

Weather has a lot to do with the way you have to bake. If there is moisture in the air it could make the cupcake concave. It could also be caused by not cooking long enough. I plan on making these for Halloween, I will let you know how they turn out. Keep trying it will work again :

    Anyone
First time I used this recipe they came out wonderful and delicous.
Today following the same instructions and checking all ingreduent before mixing, the tops became concave during cooling phase.
I am new to baking as my wife suffered a stroke several months ago.
Strangely I find that I do enjoy the cooking.

Any suggestions on what I might have done wrong.

The chocolate covered coffee beans were a bit too strong for my taste.

I took these to a Labor Day party and everyone was fighting over them. The best cupcakes ever! Better then any cupcake shop by far. I like a bit of a stronger coffee flavor so I added a bit of instant coffee to the frosting to make it more of an intense coffee flavor. Just dissolved a little of the instant coffee in hot water and added it. So much better! Everyone should try this recipe! Great job Paula!

I don't like coffee so I subsituted water with 1/2 tsp vanillia for the coffee in the cake and Bailey's Irish Cream in the filling, plain chocolate buttercream frosting. Everyone loved them. Would definetly make again might try Amaretta or cream de mint at Christmas.
    Also very easy to make.

AWESOME cupcake recipe. I did not do the filling and it really didn't need it. The frosting was really sweet, so I just used less. Everyone loved them. I took mine out of the oven by like 14.5-15 mins.
