I spent a lot of money on this recipe and even purchased a springform pan. I did not miss a thing and can not explain why the cheesecake's surface was cracked not smoothe and the worst part the bottem of the cheesecake was soooo hard. I was so disappointed. I do not know what went wrong :( I am thinking maybe it was the caramel? I used the caramel syrup that you wold use on icecream. I am so disappointed.

I served this cheesecake at a dinner party and my 8 guests absolutely loved it! They fought over the leftovers! Personally, though, I thought it was just okay. I was expecting more of the caramel and cookie dough flavor. What I got was too much of the chocolate flavor. No plans of making it again. Sorry, Paula.

Love this. Have made it before, as it is. But just changed it up to make it seasonal, and might have been even a bigger hit.

I used Spice Wafer crumbs instead of graham cracker crumbs in the crust. Left the chocolate layer alone. Used the caramel and chocolate chip cookie dough (only because I couldn't find gingerbread cookie dough in the store. I changed the cheesecake as follows: added 1 cup canned pumpkin, about 1/8 tsp cloves, 1/4 - 1/2 tsp cinnamon and some freshly grated nutmeg (1/4 tsp would work. Used only 1 egg and about 1/4 cup sour cream. Baked for 1 hour 10 min. Then switched the topping to white chocolate (it was for halloween, so I made a web on the top with dark chocolate. Was even a bigger hit than the first time I made it.

Made this recipe for a work function. I made a few adjustments but it was a hit! Even took the time to blog it since I had some really good pics to go with it. (anaccountofthemiddle

This cheesecake was FANTASTIC! I made it for my family at Easter and they are still talking about it today (2 weeks later :. It's a bit time consuming; but easy and well worth the time to make ! i didnt, however, put the ganache on it as an feel that was perfect balance then.

EXCELLENT!!! I made this cheesecake for Easter and everyone went wild over it :-. I was asked "where did you buy this cheesecake?". No one could believe that I made it and it was very pretty to look at!

First, yes to all the other reviews, cook it a little longer and for the cheesecake layer make it a 1:1 cream to chocolate ratio. This is delish and I will be making it again, but with revisions. The small party I made it for all agreed that it is EXTREMELY rich and had probably too much chocolate (and I didn't even use all the ganache I made for the top layer . I will be cutting both the chocolate layers down to half and making the top layer a chocolate drizzle. Also, I plan on changing the type of cookie, as it just seemed like more chocolate. Maybe next time will be peanut butter cookies and reese's cups instead of caramel. I love recipes I can switch up by just adding slightly different ingredients. This one is a keeper.
